'Signs of Spring Time'
March sees the first days of spring and now that we are emerging from the deepest, darkest of days, it is perhaps impossible not to feel all the possibilities of the turning of the season. Nothing matches the rising energy given off by spring, both in nature and within our communities. Let's all Stay Safe and look forward to the coming days and warmer weather.

Elsecar Active Travel Consultaion
Barnsley Council has launched an online consultation seeking feedback from people who live, work, and visit Elsecar on proposals to improve walking and cycling links in the local area. We are also seeking views from potential new users that may visit Elsecar once these proposals have been completed.
The proposals will see improvements, widening and resurfacing work to the canal-side section of the Trans Pennine Trail between Elsecar and Cortonwood, as well as improved crossing facilities on Wath Road and Wentworth Road, which are designed to make it easier to walk and cycle and also improve road safety. We also want to have your views on further improvements the community would like to see.
Please fill out the Elsecar Active Travel Survey, which we estimate will take no longer than five minutes to complete, before it closes at 23.59pm on Friday 26th March 2021. The proposals are available to view at:
